Braden Perry Highlighted In U.S. News Article On Being Denied a Bank Account
In a article posted today on U.S. News, Braden Perry discusses why you could potentially be denied a bank account due to your previous banking history. It’s no different from applying for a credit card or a loan, the bank will either run a credit check or review your ChexSystems report. ChexSystems is essentially equal to a credit bureau, that can track past issues with checking accounts-such as fraud or misuse. However, the bank is obligated to tell you why you were denied an account.
“If you feel the reason cited is an error, Perry says, you can file disputes with both the checking account reporting company and with the financial institution that originally provided the inaccurate information. “But many times, the decision has been made and you must find another banking relationship,” he says.” To find out more, and how to avoid this problem in the future follow this link: https://money.usnews.com/banking/articles/why-wont-a-bank-let-me-open-an-account
