Overview
Kelly joins Kennyhertz Perry after over seven years of service with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. As an Assistant Attorney General, Kelly represented the state of Missouri and its agencies in a variety of civil matters, both prosecuting and defending state interests. Much of her practice focused on the protection and recovery of state funds, including Title XIX (Medicaid). Kelly has practiced in over sixteen Missouri counties and has experience in state and federal court, as well as the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission. Kelly’s careful attention to detail and excellence in written advocacy have enabled her to consistently secure good outcomes for her clients. In addition to these skills, she brings with her to private practice the unique perspective and understanding of state government she gained from her years in public service.
Education
Kelly graduated with honors from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where she served as a teaching assistant in the Legal Writing Program and a Rule 13 attorney in the Child & Family Services Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree in English, magna cum laude, at Colorado State University. When she is not in the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and small herd of animals.
