Overview

Ransom Campbell helps businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals navigate the legal decisions that shape their business operations, investments, and long-term plans. He works to understand what each client is building, what matters most to them, and how legal counsel can help them move forward.

Ransom serves as a continuing advisor throughout the life of a business—from choosing the right entity and establishing relationships among owners to supporting growth, navigating day-to-day challenges, and planning for the long-term future. He provides a consistent point of contact for the legal matters that arise along the way, bringing an understanding of the client’s business to each new decision. Ransom helps owners and management weigh risks, structure opportunities, and make informed decisions with both immediate priorities and long-term objectives in mind.

His practice also includes serving the distinct needs of professional and collegiate athletes and sports professionals. He understands how an athlete’s career, personal brand, business interests, and financial future intersect. Whether negotiating an endorsement agreement or advising on a business venture, he looks beyond the immediate transaction to consider its broader implications for the client’s control, flexibility, and future opportunities. He serves as a legal resource for athletes and sports professionals as they build their careers, pursue commercial opportunities, and prepare for life beyond sports.

Before joining Kennyhertz Perry, Ransom practiced in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he provided outside general counsel services and advised businesses, entrepreneurs, and collegiate and professional athletes.

Originally from Falls City, Nebraska, Ransom enjoys spending time with his wife, Faith, and their dog, Teddy, staying active, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
